Certains atomes de silicium sont remplac\u00e9s par de l\u2019aluminium (AlO\u2084\u2075\u207b), cr\u00e9ant une structure spatiale caract\u00e9ristique avec une forte proportion de cavit\u00e9s interconnect\u00e9es par des canaux. Ces cavit\u00e9s servent de r\u00e9servoirs pour les cations m\u00e9talliques ou les mol\u00e9cules d\u2019eau. Le volume total de ces cavit\u00e9s repr\u00e9sente environ 24 \u00e0 32 %.<\/p>\n<h2>Applications<\/h2>\n<p>La clinoptilolite est largement utilis\u00e9e dans l\u2019agriculture, l\u2019\u00e9levage, la protection de l\u2019environnement, le nettoyage de l\u2019eau. Elle contribue \u00e0 l&rsquo;augmentation de la CEC et la stabilisation du complexe argilo-humique.<\/p>\n<p>Utilisable en agriculture biologique<\/p>\n<h3>M\u00e9canisme d\u2019action<\/h3>\n<h4>Hydratation et d\u00e9shydratation r\u00e9versibles<\/h4>\n<p>Lors du s\u00e9chage, il y a \u00e9limination de l\u2019eau libre et li\u00e9e du r\u00e9seau cristallin, qui est ensuite r\u00e9absorb\u00e9e au contact de mat\u00e9riaux tels que les grains et aliments stock\u00e9s, la liti\u00e8re pour animaux, les gaz de combustion pour \u00e9viter la condensation, etc. La clinoptilolite stabilise l\u2019humidit\u00e9 avec un faible volume et emp\u00eache les effets ind\u00e9sirables de l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n<h4>\u00c9change d\u2019ions<\/h4>\n<p>La structure en r\u00e9seau permet \u00e0 la clinoptilolite de fonctionner comme un \u00e9changeur d\u2019ions et un adsorbant s\u00e9lectif. L\u2019adsorption et l\u2019\u00e9change d\u2019ions d\u00e9pendent de leur charge et de leur taille. Plus la taille de l\u2019ion correspond \u00e0 celle du r\u00e9seau de la clinoptilolite, plus il sera facilement capt\u00e9 et retenu. Le diam\u00e8tre d\u2019entr\u00e9e des pores est d\u2019environ 4 angstr\u00f6ms, ce qui correspond \u00e0 la taille moyenne des ions ammonium NH\u2084\u207a, de H\u2082O, de \u00b9\u00b3\u2074Cs et \u00b9\u00b3\u2077Cs. Ces compos\u00e9s pr\u00e9sentent la plus grande affinit\u00e9 avec la clinoptilolite, qui fonctionne comme un adsorbant s\u00e9lectif pour un large \u00e9ventail de
